Thousands Of "Pokemon Sun And Moon" Players Banned From Accessing Online Play

7,651 players of “Pokemon Sun and Moon” has just been banned from the game for altering their save files. It can be remembered that thousands of players has also been banned before for the same reason and all affected players will see an 090-0212 error code when they access online play in their consoles.

How to Know if a Player is Banned from the Game

According to Gamerant, all 7651 players will no longer be able to access the online play including the online battles and the global missions. Although none of the global missions have been successful to date, its still a big loss for the players because they cannot interact with other players starting today. The only way for players to gain access again to the feature is if they purchase another copy of the game.

Altering save files in “Pokemon Sun and Moon” is considered a form of cheating and The Pokemon Company will not tolerate it. According to reports, affected players will not receive any notification that they are banned but will just see that they no longer have access to online play and all of its features. This is not the first time this have happened, according to Polygon, so it wouldn’t be surprising if another wave of abusive players will be banned in the future or if harsher punishments will be imposed in the future.

How Not to Be Banned from “Pokemon Sun and Moon”

For players not to be banned from the game, all they need to do is to play the game fairly and not use any third party software to alter their game data. “Pokemon Sun and Moon” is one of the most popular games in today’s time and to keep it that way, “The Pokemon Company” will ban any player abusing or exploiting the game.
