inFAMOUS Second Son and Ground Zeroes Top UK Sales Charts Last Week, Beat Titanfall
The current console generation is in full swing right about now; both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One have their system sellers and AAA must-haves. Fans of both are opening up their wallets and dropping some quality time into inFAMOUS, Ground Zeroes, and Titanfall. We've got the top 10 titles in the UK (via Joystiq) for last week's consumer sales and most of them are newly released, unlike past UK charts which still had some 2013 titles trickling in due to popularity.
For starters, Sucker Punch's inFAMOUS: Second Son has dominated sales chats in the UK, making it the second biggest week-1 PS4 release title. The game that holds the highest week-1 PS4 sales was Killzone: Shadow Fall, the console's go-to launch title.
Coming up in second place on Chart Tracks is Konami's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The game may have come under scrutiny due to its short game length and $30 asking price-point, but it seems that wasn't enough to prevent it from hitting the second spot in UK sales last week. Ground Zeroes had the benefit of being on multiple platforms as well, which no doubt gave it an edge over current-gen only or console exclusives.
The following title on the chart is Titanfall, Microsoft and EA's new shooter for the Xbox One and PC. Titanfall originally held a number one spot but it fell to third with the release of several new titles.
Following Titanfall is Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, South Part: The Stick of Truth, FIFA 13, Dark Souls, The Lego Movie Videogame, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.
