Improvements Made to GTA Online for Newer Consoles

Players can expect that the game they will be playing on newer consoles will be, to an extent, different than the one that can be played on the PlayStation 4, for example. According to SlashGear, players enjoying the game on the PS5 or even Xbox Series X/S can enjoy "resolutions up to 4K at 60 frames per second."

Other improvements that have been made to the GTA V multiplayer component include ray tracing and HDR support.

The PS5 version, in particular, includes improvements such as "faster loading times that make use of its NVME storage, haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support via the PS5's DualSense controller, and 3D audio that makes use of the PS5's Tempest AudioTech."

GTA Online Account Migration Problem

The launch of GTA Online to new-gen consoles, however, are not without problems. Specifically, there has been an account migration problem that users encountered, per a report by IGN

According to the report, "Early during the launch period users playing on the newly released PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of GTA V were unable to transfer their characters from previous generation consoles if they'd already done so to PC."

The problem has since been resolved.
