Right now, there are plenty of horror titles available on Steam and other gaming platforms. However, most of them focus on playing as humans.

This means that your only option is either to run away from ghosts and monsters, or defeat them. Here's what makes "Midnight Ghost Hunt" different from "Phasmobia" and other mainstream horror games.

IBT reported that "Midnight Ghost Hunt" is a multiplayer game that allows players to enjoy a hide-and-seek gameplay mechanic.

The main factor differentiating it from "Phasmophobia" and other mainstream horror games is the option to play as a ghost. Right now, this is still unavailable in "Phasmophobia." But, some rumors claim it will arrive soon. We'll let you know about it once Kinetic Games confirms this detail. 

Currently, this in-game feature is already experienced by "Midnight Ghost Hunt" fans. Aside from being ghosts, this popular title also includes sci-fi weapons.

Because of this, many gamers compare it to the iconic film "Ghostbusters." You can either use laser guns, traps, and other tools to destroy your targets or capture the enemy ghosts.

Why 'Midnight Ghost Hunt' is Fun 

The supercharged ghosts are one of the most thrilling things about this underrated game. When you are on the human side, you have until midnight to complete your tasks, such as destroying targets. 

Once you fail to complete the mission, all the enemy ghosts will be enraged or become supercharged. This means that their abilities will deal more damage. 

All the defeated ghosts will respawn and become supercharged even if one spirit remains. This will put you and your team at a great disadvantage. 

As of the moment, this entertaining and challenging horror title is available on Steam's official website. Most gamers play it via PC. But, since it has partial controller support, some of them are able to use their consoles. 

Because of its unique gameplay style, its Steam review is currently 85%, meaning players' feedback is very positive.  

"Prop Hunt but good. It's a great game to play with on stream with friends and is absolutely bursting with a charming aesthetic," said one of the players.
