After launching the My Achievements menu last November, Epic Games is now making it available for all of its users on the Epic Games Store.

Starting on Tuesday, users will see a "My Achievements" option in the dropdown menu when clicking on their profile picture. The Achievements page shows all of the user's achievements and friends. They will also be able to see their friends' achievements when they click on their names.

Achievements Page Offers a Tier System To Track XP

According to a report by GameSpot, users will also be able to keep track of how many achievements they have, ranked by a tier system, as well as their XP. There are four tiers of Epic Achievements, each with an XP range assigned. A user reaches Platinum achievement status upon earning 1000 XP in a game. Reaching Bronze achievement gives the user an additional 5-45 XP, Silver gets 50-95 XP, and Gold gets 100-200 XP.  Reaching Platinum status gives the user an additional 250 XP.

They seem to be taking cues from Sony and Microsoft's approaching in tracking players' progress in their games, putting them in one cohesive hub. Epic's XP tracker acts similar to Xbox's Gamerscore, whereas the Platinum status is similar to Sony's Trophies on the PlayStation.

Users Can Now Customize Privacy Settings

Those who want to keep this information private have the option to change their privacy settings to limit the data that they want to share. They can choose from the following option: Overall settings can be applied to your account, limiting your viewers to one of four categories: Public, Friends of Friends, Friends Only, and Only Me.

Pages that are set to public will show every element of a player's account page. This includes the Achievements, progress, and friends list. Players with parental controls have their profiles set automatically to Only Me. In future updates, Epic will allow players to customize their page's look as well as other customization options.

The Achievements menu is Epic's way of keeping up with top distributors such as Steam. Another important addition that they rolled out recently is the shopping cart that allows players to purchase multiple game bundles in a single transaction.

Upcoming Features on Epic Games Store

According to the announcement on the Epic Games website, Other features in upcoming updates will include Ratings and Polls. This feature will occasionally appear in the launcher after a game. This gives players the opportunity to give their own opinions about the game they just played. They will be able to rate the game's difficulty and how much they enjoyed it through a multiple-choice type questionnaire.

This provides valuable insight to other players who may be interested in playing the same game. It will also help Epic Games create more customized categories on the Epic Games Store home page.

Finally, Epic Games will start rolling out a much more streamlined Notifications center. Instead of notifications for wish lists, friend invites, and other announcements popping up in separate places, they will appear in a single Notification Center, instead. This will be found at the top right corner of the store.
