Astralis Wins Against Entropic 2-1

Astralis won against Entropic 2-1 in one of the most electrifying matches this season, according to a report by Dot Esports. After their round 12 victory, they will be advancing to the quarterfinals.

Despite Entropic's strong lineup, Astralis' winning quality in this round is their endurance, especially in the high-pressure moments of the match. The Danish team beat Entropiq 16-4 on Nuke map, while Entropic had the upper hand on Vertigo 19-15 in overtime.

As they moved to the Overpass map, Astralis displayed prowess in playing CT. Entropiq began to unravel when Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and crew converted the second pistol and anti eco. The Russian team did not easily give in, winning nine out of 10 rounds to surpass Astralis 14-13. In the last three rounds, however, Astralis had the advantage thanks to the opening kills they made, which eventually turned the tables around to win 16-14.

It could have easily been a sudden-death match for Astralis. But Benjamin "blameF" Bremer's stellar performance became their saving grace. The former rifler of Complexity Gaming finished with an 81-59 K/D and 1.30 rating. Another key performer in the team was Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth who won a couple of important clutches.

Team Liquid Gets Their Revenge on Heroic

Per a separate report by Dot Esports, Team Liquid made a stunning comeback after losing to Heroic in Season 14 last year. Revenge was the name of the game for Team Liquid who emerged victorious after 12 rounds, beating heroic in both maps.

The first map was Ancient, which at first didn't seem to be favorable for the North American team. They lost the first half 9-6. Once they played CT, they showed the real stuff. Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski was a raging demon with 15 kills in all 10 rounds, which gave the team the much-needed lift.

The Vertigo map proved to be fatal for Heroic, despite it being their chosen environment. Liquid built such a strong defense in the first half and secured quite a big head start and won the first half 11-4. Heroic displayed an impressive CT play, but it was still no match to Liquid who overcame them 16-10.

Fans may very well remember how Ismail "refrezh" Ali gave Team Liquid such a hard time in 2014 in a 1v5 clutch on Inferno. In a shocking twist, AWPer John "oSee" Ohm provided the symbolic retribution for Team Liquid, as he beat Ali in a 1v1 post-plant situation.

Team Liquid will advance to the quarterfinals where they will face Ninjas in Pyjamas on Thursday at 12pm. The winner of which will earn a spot in the semifinals.
