"Kingdom Hearts IV" has officially been announced by Square Enix. However, if you think that that is the only upcoming game that "Kingdom Hearts" fans can look forward to, think again!

Square Enix has announced a second game for the popular video game series and it will be playable on mobile devices. The game is called "Kingdom Hearts Missing Link" and will feature a new original story players can enjoy. 

'Kingdom Hearts IV' is Officially Announced

"Kingdom Hearts IV" is official and this news will certainly delight the countless fans of the popular "Kingdom Hearts" video games around the the word.

"The newest instalment in the beloved RPG series was officially announced as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the 'KINGDOM HEARTS' franchise and sets Sora and his friends Donald and Goofy on a brand-new adventure, titled the 'Lost Master Arc,'" the official announcement posted on the Square Enix website reads.

The announcement highlights Sora's new look as well as a boss battle between the character and an enemy in the Quadratum "This large, expansive city is set in a gorgeous, realistic world that's unlike anything you've seen before in the 'KINGDOM HEARTS' series," the announcement describes.

As already mentioned, Donald Duck and Goofy are set to feature in the next mainline entry to the franchise. They are, however, not the only ones. The game's trailer also features Strelitzia, who is actually a new character as far as the mainline games are concerned. However, the character has already appeared in "Kingdom Hearts Union χ."

'Kingdom Hearts Missing Link' Also Announced

"Kingdom Hearts" fans also have a second game to look forward to and it is called "Kingdom Hearts Missing Link."

According to a report by Polygon, the game is currently in development and will be playable on iOS and Android devices when released. Square Enix has also revealed that the game will be the first location-based action RPG title in the franchise. 

The game will be set in the world of Scala ad Caelum and will pit the player, either in solo play or with friends, in battles against the Heartless. It will also feature an original story. 

A closed beta that will be limited to certain regions only will take place sometime this year. However, no specific date has been announced as of press time. 

Final Chapter of 'Kingdom Hearts Dark Road' 

Square Enix's announcement also includes an update on the final chapter of "Kingdom Hearts Dark Road" for "Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road." The last chapter is scheduled for release in August. 

It will be a free updated to the app, according to Square Enix. More details will be released in the future via the developer's social media accounts and official website.
