Titanfall For Xbox 360 Framerate Is All Good, According To Bluepoint Games Exec; 360 Copies Being Sold Early

Titanfall For 360 Looks Alright, Apparently, Despite the Delay; Some Copies Leaking Early

Titanfall for Xbox 360 was starting to look doomed a couple weeks ago, amid reports that framerates were down and the game overall wasn't holding up to the switch from Xbox One to 360.

Well, if Daryl Allison of Bluepoint Games, the senior producer of Titanfall for 360, is to be believed, the game should be just fine.

"Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions," Allison wrote on the Titanfall website. "The game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great. There are of course some differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware - for example, the game runs above 30fps - but the experts at Respawn worked with us to ensure that all the intense, 6v6 wall-running, titan-dropping action is there."

I guess we'll see what those "technical limitations of the hardware" are at the game's launch, because in this blogger's humble opinion, Titanfall on Xbox One isn't exactly the pinnacle of next gen graphics. That's not to say that Titanfall is a bad looking game - quite the contrary, really - but it doesn't look like it couldn't be pulled off on 360, either.

All that said, we won't have to wait too much longer to find out just how good it is. The game is set to release on April 8, and some retailers are apparently already leaking the game.

Allison also delved into just why the game needed delaying as well, and the results were apparently promising.

"We wanted Xbox 360 gamers playing Titanfall at the same time as everyone else, but it needed more time," Allison explained. "EA and Respawn made the right call and the extra time has paid off. Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is definitely a game that Bluepoint Games is proud of, and we're excited for you to get your hands on it. Beginning April 8th, millions of Xbox 360 gamers around the world will hear those thrilling words 'Your titan is good to go. Call it when ready', and we couldn't be more excited."

Those of you waiting on the 360 version of Titanfall, are your doubts gone? Or are you already playing on your shiny new Xbox One?
