Xbox Game Pass' latest games for May 2022 include some major AAA Day One releases, but a few other excellent titles are also leaving.

According to IGN, the Day One releases to be included for this month on Game Pass are as follows:
- Sniper Elite 5 (release date: May 26th)
- Trek To Yomi (release date: May 5th)
These two games are expected to perform well, with Trek To Yomi being the obvious first one to hit Microsoft's digital shelves. It is an extremely cinematic action-adventure sidescroller set during Japan's Edo Period, which spanned from 1603 to 1868.
Developed by Devolver, the game takes a lot of obvious visual cues from legendary Japanese film director Akira Kurosawa - hence the black and white presentation. This is perhaps a new take on Ghost of Tsushima's famed Kurosawa Mode graphics, writes Engadget.
It was first revealed during E3 2021 and billed as the story of a young samurai whose job is to protect a rural town after the death of his master. The game will then pit players' skills against both human and supernatural enemies, with a great emphasis on combat with the iconic katana.
Sniper Elite 5, on the other hand, is the latest in the long-running third-person shooter franchise, which puts players in the combat boots of ace sniper Karl Fairburne. It is billed as a sniping game with advanced gun physics, whose developers actually developed it in collaboration with the British Royal Armories museum, as per GameSpot.
The game also features an extensive gun customization mechanic and will also include puzzles and a slew of non-lethal takedowns to deal with Nazis. The developers mentioned their renewed focus on allowing people to craft their playstyle, making the entire game a sniping sandbox.

Of course, Trek To Yomi and Sniper Elite 5 aren't the only ones coming to Game Pass for May. It is also joined by these games:
