Some Big Xbox Games Are Discounted For Amazon Prime Day 2022

Discounted Xbox Games To Get At Amazon Prime Day 2022

If you've been looking for some discounted games to buy for your Xbox console (whether it's a One, Series X, or Series S), then Amazon has some deals ready for you as part of Prime Day 2022.

The new Microsoft Xbox One S console is announced during the Microsoft Xbox news conference at the E3 Gaming Conference on June 13, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. The One S is slated to launch in August.

You don't even have to be an existing member of Prime to get these Amazon Prime Day 2022 deals, writes Business Insider. That's because if you sign up for Prime as a first -timer, you'll get a 30-day free trial. After that, you'll have to pay $15 a month or $139 per year. It's steep, but perhaps the benefits will outweigh the cost.

Without further ado, here are the biggest deals:

NHL 22 for Series X - $18.98 on Amazon (73% off)

When this game got mediocre reviews when it came out, some argued that this is because the gameplay isn't really worth the "next-gen tax" at its launch MSRP of $70. Now that it's an incredible 73% off, maybe its price finally corresponds with its actual fun value.

Guardians Of The Galaxy for Xbox Series X/Xbox One - $24.99 on Amazon (58% off)

Not a lot of people were excited about this game due to the terrible reviews of Marvel's Avengers. But they were pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be a good one, with the game scoring a respectable 78 on Metacritic (critic reviews) coupled with a great 8.6 User rating.

Elden Ring for Xbox Series X - $45.29 on Amazon (24% off)

Need we say anything more about Elden Ring? Ever since it launched, it has been so popular that almost everybody is still talking about it to this very day. FromSoftware really knocked it out of the park with this one, considering how this is their first-ever open-world title.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - $44.99 on Amazon (25% off)

In our review of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we praised the LEGO-fied collection of all nine mainline films for being a truly fun romp throughout the iconic Galaxy Far, Far Away. With so many games these days trying really hard to be difficult or stressful, this game will give you a much-needed reprieve. Remember when games used to be just fun? Yep, we do.

Can You Finally Get A New Xbox Series X Or Even PS5 On This Year's Amazon Prime Day?

No, you cannot. Hate to break it to you, even Amazon Prime Day 2022 can't give you deals on a Series X or a PS5 - just the games that go on them. They're already hard enough to find on their own, what more if you try to include a discount? But here's one console that's actually in stock at Prime Day AT A DISCOUNT: the tiny but mighty Xbox Series S.

As part of Prime Day, the Series S is below MSRP at $289.98. Here at GameNGuide, we've written before about how the Xbox Series S is THE next-gen console no one might be talking about - but one that people should never ignore. It is, by all intents and purposes, a next-gen console. The only drawback is that it's no 4K 60 FPS machine. But 1440p 60 FPS (with support for 120 FPS) is not something to scoff at.

Aside from that, you might feel iffy about it being an all-digital console. But in reality, that only matters if you have a stack of Xbox One discs lying around. With Xbox Game Pass, you won't even need to go for used CDs for discounts. Game Pass is a PERFECT pairing for the Series S.
