An All-Female Valorant Team Is Accused Of Cheating In An Online Tournament

All-Female Valorant Team Fallacy Accused Of Letting A Member's Partner Play in Her Stead

The all-female Valorant Team called Team Fallacy was recently involved in a controversy, which was said to have happened during their turn at the online-only Galorants Astral Clash tournament.

According to DotESports, there were allegations that Fallacy used one of the members' boyfriends to play in the member's place. The accused member goes by the handle mars, who's also streaming under the name MarsArxa on Twitch. There's an entire document released on Google Docs explaining how the supposed cheating happened, if you want to check it out.

Furthermore, here's a video clip showcasing the alleged boyfriend stand-in pulling off a 1v4 clutch and ace, all without saying a word - something that can be considered weird after pulling off an insane maneuver during a heated firefight:

The all-female Valorant team pro's boyfriend is said to be former TSM FTX player Nate "payen" Lopez, as reported by SportsKeeda. In the document shared on the Google link above, the accusers say mars' boyfriend stood in her place by providing an in-depth analysis of game settings the two are said to be using, all to establish guilt.

Allegedly, mars' keybinds suddenly changed during the Galorants Astral Clash event. Instead of her normal 'F' key to trigger her character's drone ability, she suddenly started using the 'C' key - something that her boyfriend is said to use.

Aside from that, the accusers are also saying that the two pro players' minimaps are another proof; saying mars normally uses a smaller minimap while running the game on native resolution. On the other hand, her boyfriend almost always plays on 4:3 stretched resolution, which makes his minimap larger.

With this info in hand, the accusers took a few screenshots of her Twitch streams to compare it with that of payen's. They say that the clip of her supposed performance at Galorants Astral Clash is clear indication of her sudden settings change, which they claim is proof that the member of the aforementioned all-female Valorant team cheated.

As of this writing, the tournament organizers haven't taken a look at the incident.

Who Is The All-Female Valorant Team, Fallacy?

There's not a lot of information about the establishment of Fallacy online. For now, the info on them only includes the basics. According to VLR.gg, the team is comprised of mars and Kazler from the United States; ketarys from Vietnam; and Cyn from Canada. They are coached by Trensiq from the US and seem to have performed well enough so far, posting a 17-6 win-loss record.

They seem to be newly formed, considering how they're not part of the original 36-team list posted by DotESports back in January (also, that small win-loss record is a dead giveaway that they're relative newcomers).

If the cheating scandal is proven true, then the accused all-female Valorant team could be in for a really, really rough time - not to mention mars herself and her partner.
