Phasmophobia, the co-op psychological horror game developed by Kinetic Games, received a new patch recently that marks the beginning of the Holiday 2023 event.
Enjoy the Festivities
Kinetic Games invites players to join Phasmophobia's Holiday 2023 event. Those who can complete the event objectives can earn exclusive rewards, such as the "Holiday '23 ID Card Badge" and a trophy for their efforts.
Those who are interested in participating in the said event must do the following things on any difficulty level:
Enter Sunny Meadows and collect three mysterious parts
Head to all locations displayed with a snowman sticker, and grab your newly built device in the Truck
Destroy all of the dancing snowmen
The dancing snowmen can be found in various areas on Tanglewood Drive. Some can be found prominently on the outside, but there are those that are placed obscurely inside houses as well.
As for the Mysterious Parts, go to the Sunny Meadows Asylum and head to the courtyard (at the upper part of the map) for the first one. The second Mysterious Part is found in the second to the last room of the hallway. The last one can be found in the basement of the Asylum, near the rightmost staircase.
Console Release?
Phasmophobia is a really popular game on PC. In fact, one can look at the game's Steam page to find that it is well-received by the community. While those on PC can take part in the Holiday 2023 event, some people are clamoring for Kinetic Games to release the psychological horror title on consoles so they, too, can get in on the action.
In a recent tweet posted by the company that highlights the Holiday 2023 event, people have been asking when the console version of the game will be released. Unfortunately, Kinetic Games has yet to issue a statement about this at the time of writing.
Although most of the community is fairly optimistic that the game will be launched on consoles in the future, there are some who are already tired of waiting. "Such a [tone deaf] development team. There was so much hype behind this game coming to console but it's completely gone now. Been interested in this game since its launch on PC then when I heard news it was coming to console I was super excited, now I feel nothing," said X/Twitter user @arkaine0730.
