We've got another #SteamSpotlight feature for you today! And this time, we're shining the spotlight on a game that is all about the vibrant and colorful city of Tokyo.

However, in this game, the Tokyo you see is not the city we all know and love. In fact, the version you see in this game is one that inhabited deadly supernatural forces.

Released on March 25, 2022, Ghostwire: Tokyo is developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. As previously mentioned, the game is set in a version of Tokyo where the population has been replaced by deadly supernatural forces.

Your job is to save the city from these supernatural beings. However, you won't go in empty handed. You will have an arsenal of supernatural abilities to aid you in your quest.

These abilities are upgradable and you must combine them with your ghost-hunting abilities during missions. You will also get ethereal abilities that lets you fly and even surprise your enemies.

Spider's Thread Update

Ghostwire: Tokyo has since released an update called Spider's Thread. What this update adds to the base game is a new area to explore, as well as extended cutscenes. You will also get brand new enemies as well as missions to complete.

It should be noted that this update is free for all players of the game.

Steam Reviews for Ghostwire: Tokyo

Ghostwire: Tokyo has more than 15,700 reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews are described as "Very Positive" by the platform.

"If you're into anime and Japanese culture, Ghostwire: Tokyo is a must-play," user Tori says in a Steam review. "Its captivating blend of Japanese aesthetics, storytelling, and gameplay earns a solid two thumbs up!"

"Overall, I liked this game a lot," user Frank Jaegar says in a separate review. "It is absolutely gorgeous—just walking around Shibuya and taking in the sights and sounds is wonderful."

"I also found the combat pretty engaging, especially on harder difficulties," Frank Jaegar adds.
