Apex Legends Players Vent Frustration Over Sudden Change— Here's What Happened

Apex Legends developers have introduced a limited-time Final Fantasy event, temporarily replacing the game's staple Trios mode. This decision has sparked discontent among the player base, with many expressing their frustration over the sudden alteration to the game's core experience.

Community Outcry on Apex Legends Subreddit

The dissatisfaction of Apex Legends enthusiasts became evident through a post on the game's subreddit titled: "Kinda wish the new event didn't take the place of normal trios." In this post, a player articulated their disappointment, stating, "It kinda blows that my friends and I can't play trios for the next few weeks without the gimmick stuff in it."

Players are urging Respawn, the developers of Apex Legends, to consider implementing a separate playlist for limited-time events like the Final Fantasy crossover. The sentiment shared is that having a dedicated space for these special events would allow players who prefer the traditional Trios mode to continue enjoying the game without disruptions.

Mixed Reactions among Players

While some players resonate with the frustration, others welcome the change. A Redditor argued that Respawn's decision to incorporate the Final Fantasy event into the main rotation may be an attempt to ensure a broader player engagement. They noted, "I don't really have a problem with it. All the goofy gimmicks are a nice change of pace."

Fortunately, for those yearning for the return of the traditional Trios mode, the Final Fantasy event is set to conclude on January 30. This suggests that players will soon be able to resume their usual battle royale experience without the thematic additions brought about by the current limited-time event.
