Valentine's Extravaganza: Shiny Surprises Await in Pokémon GO's Carnival of Love Event

Niantic has unveiled the details of its annual Valentine's Day event, the Carnival of Love. This time around, the spotlight shines on the debut of the elusive shiny Oricorio, adding a delightful twist to the festivities.

Shiny Oricorio Arrives for a Limited Engagement

The Carnival of Love event kicks off on February 13 at 10 am, bringing with it the chance to encounter the Baile Style Oricorio in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Pom-Pom Style Oricorio in the Americas, Pa'u Style Oricorio in African, Asian, Pacific, and Caribbean islands, and Sensu Style Oricorio in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, the event introduces region-exclusive Flabebe variants, with Red Flower Flabebe in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Blue Flabebe in Asia-Pacific, and Yellow Flower Flabebe in the Americas.

Prepare to expand your Pokémon collection, as six other Pokémon, including Quaxly and Skitty, will see increased spawns during the event. The Carnival of Love runs until February 15 at 8 pm local time, offering a brief but exciting window for players to capture these special Pokémon.

Features and Bonuses

During the Carnival of Love, Pokémon GO players have more than just shiny Pokémon to look forward to. Niantic is introducing the ability to transform Natural Form Furfrou into Heart Trim Furfrou for 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust. Engage in Field Research tasks to encounter Pokémon with heart-patterned variations, including Snubbull, Roselia, Clamperl, Luvdisc, Furfrou, Stufful, and Spinda.

Also,trainers can join the Collection Challenge to earn XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Roserade. The event also provides incentives for evolving Pokémon, with two guaranteed Candy XL and an increased chance of obtaining Candy XL while walking with Buddy Pokémon. A new Paid Research option awaits, and Brazilian trainers will enjoy double XP when catching Pokémon, celebrating the Brazilian Carnival.
