Developer Offworld Industries recently deployed a new patch for Starship Troopers: Extermination that players need to download immediately. The reason for the urgency is that Update 0.6.2 has added support for DLSS 3 and FSR3 technologies.

Smoother Experience

Starship Troopers: Extermination players can now enable DLSS 3 or FSR3 technologies in the game after downloading Update 0.6.2. NVIDIA DLSS 3 is a machine learning technology that utilizes AI to analyze in-game frames and construct new ones. Normally, this feature has different settings that allow players to favor more performance or higher visual fidelity. But as of now, there are no granular settings to speak of in this update.

On the other hand, FSR3 is the much-improved version of AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution. The main highlight of FSR3 is that it makes the game look much smoother thanks to frame generation. This technology can theoretically double the frame rate of supported games by adding a newly generated frame in between the frames that the game typically produces.

It is worth noting that this update does not include different preset options for these technologies. However, the game will automatically recommend a render scale option depending on the player's PC.

Offworld Industries is going to add a quick select menu option for Performance, Quality, and Balanced defaults in the near future.
