Arrowhead Game Studios continues to address Helldivers 2 server issues with a recent update. This patch is a relatively minor one with a few "rapid fixes" to fix login issues, rewards not being handed out as intended, and increased server capacity.
Increased Server Capacity
The company said that its partner services that are responsible for handling the Helldivers 2 servers have a rate limiter, which essentially puts a cap on how many players can log into the game at the same time.
The initial limit was set to 10,000 players/min and was subsequently increased to 20,000/min. Additionally, the max server capacity has been raised to 350,000, which the company thought was enough to accommodate everyone.
However, the company probably did not expect the game to be this popular because the player count rose to more than 360,000 in less than six minutes. Thus, server issues remain that may prevent some players from logging in.
Arrowhead Game Studios said that those who get the "Failed to Connect Server" message means that they will be unable to enter the game. This is because the maximum number of login requests has been reached at that point.
Fortunately, it seems that players will be put in some sort of queue that enables them to enter as soon as someone has logged out of the game. Hopefully, Arrowhead Game Studios will continue to increase the server capacity, especially since Helldivers 2 is really becoming quite popular now.

What About Rewards?
For those who do not know, there are instances where players are not given rewards after every mission. The company said that this is still due to the vast number of players trying to log in, which results in servers not being able to track rewards correctly.
The newly released patch aims to mitigate that somewhat, though the company admits that it may not totally resolve the issue. For those who continue to encounter such problems, it is best that they file a ticket soon.
While the game is certainly plagued with issues right now, Arrowhead Game Studios assures players that it will do everything it can to resolve them at the soonest possible time.
