Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare Free 'Zomboss Down' Wild West DLC Released [VIDEO]

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare Free 'Zomboss Down' DLC Released

EA and PopCap have announced that Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare will be getting Zomboss Down, an absolutely free bit of downloadable content. This DLC pack is available today, and is themed on the Wild West. It features a new 'Cactus Canyon Gardens and Graveyards' map, eight new playable characters, over 200 wild customization items, and an increased Level cap from 20 to 30 for each character. XBox One gamers will also find new challenges to complete.

In Zomboss Down the long-time enemy of the plants, Dr. Zomboss, was roaming over the desert in his blimp when they shot him down. Unfortunately for the plants, the blimp was full of zombies, who are now roaming the desert in order to reach the local golf course that houses a super-secret Cactus army.

New characters like the Archaeologist Zombie, the Wrestling Star Zombie, the Law Pea, and the Sun Pharaoh offer up completely new styles of play, as well as new weapon upgrades and Western skins for the characters. Here you'll find new accessories, tattoos, facial hair, and more, all to keep you entertained while trying to get those last ten levels.

Once again, this is absolutely free new content for Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare, and proof that PopCap's word is good as far as continuing to support their multiplayer shooter via both paid and free content. This is their second free DLC pack after their Garden Variety pack, which added a new game mode and map, among other goodies.

Check out the trailer for Zomboss Down below and head to your version of choice to download the new content.
