Dark and Darker Returns to Steam
If you were wondering if Dark and Darker is back on Steam, the answer is yes. The multiplayer RPG has returned to the store, just over a year after it was removed due to legal issues. During the Summer Game Fest 2024, a new trailer was revealed along with the announcement that the free-to-play portion was coming back to Steam.
Free Dungeons and Player Reactions
Players can now enjoy normal dungeons without paying anything. These dungeons offer slightly easier challenges and less loot compared to the paid High Roller dungeons. The FPS PvPvE dungeon crawler allows players to queue up in one, two, and three-player teams to fight, loot, and escape with their treasures.
The return to Steam has been met with a positive reaction. The game is already climbing the player charts. At the time of writing, it has 4,619 players, and that number is steadily increasing. Dark and Darker originally launched to large player numbers. It remains to be seen if this new free version will achieve similar success.
