Nintendo E3 2014 News- Super Smash Bros. Invitational Tournament, Nintendo Treehouse Demos, Digital Event [VIDEO]

Nintendo E3 2014 News- Super Smash Bros. Tournament, Nintendo Treehouse Demos

Nintendo has just sent along word of their plans for this year's E3, which involves taking their presentation and bringing it directly to their fans, showing off their plans with this silly video featuring "Reggie Fils-A-Mech". Their biggest (announced) title is certainly Super Smash Bros., which has two versions on the way for Wii U and 3DS. Not only will Nintendo be demoing the game at the event, but Nintendo is inviting 16 highly skilled Super Smash Bros. players to the NOKIA Theatre in LA to to compete in a Super Smash Bros. tournament.

Thousands of fans will be let in to watch the tournament go down and a live stream will be offered for anyone who can't make it to LA. If you live far away and can't make it you might be able to play the game for yourself as well. Nintendo's partnership with Best Buy means that the store will be hosting demos for some of their E3 titles, including Super Smash Bros., so head on over to a Best Buy the week of E3 to try out some new Nintendo Games.

But that's not all. Nintendo will also offer live and unscripted videos from their E3 booth, showcasing in-depth game demos of all of their upcoming titles. It will stream throughout the entire hours of E3, allowing fans a pretty remarkable amount of access to the industry event.

Last year Nintendo decided to forgo a traditional press conference because hey, those things cost money, and more often than not they backfire. (I was there for the Ravi drums fiasco and might have PTSD). They used a Nintendo Direct video to share its news from E3 instead and they're doing something similar this year, with a newly titled "Nintendo Digital Event" that will do basically the same thing- showcase all the upcoming details for Nintendo's platforms for the rest of the year. The Nintendo Digital Event will air at 9:00 AM PT on Tuesday, June 10.

What do you think? Are you happy about this level of transparency for the company? Are there any big titles you're looking forward to hearing more about at the expo this year? Let us know in the comments below.
