
HBO is developing a TV series adaptation of "Baldur's Gate 3."
Leading the project is none other than Craig Mazin, who is known for co-creating the adaptation of "The Last of Us."
'Baldur's Gate' TV Series Adaptation
According to IGN, the adaptation is meant to continue the story of "Baldur's Gate 3." It has been noted that the ending of the game depends heavily on how the player choose to play the game, so many are curious as to how Mazin will tackle this.
"I can't wait to help bring 'Baldur's Gate' and all of its incredible characters to life with as much respect and love as we can, and I'm deeply grateful to Gabe Marano and his team at Hasbro for entrusting me with this incredibly important property," Mazin said in a statement.
According to Polygon, Hasbro's Gabriel Marano said that "The fans have been eagerly awaiting an adaptation of Baldur's Gate, and we could not ask for better partners than HBO and the incomparable Craig Mazin to build this world with."
What Has Been Revealed About the TV Adaptation
While casting details have not been revealed as of writing, Polygon notes in its report that the TV series adaptation is set to feature both new and returning characters.
However, it has not been revealed which familiar faces will make it to the TV series.
Deadline has also revealed that Mazin plans to reach out to the voice cast of "Baldur's Gate 3" regarding their participation in the adaptation.
