'Pokémon Winds and Waves' Fan Art Imagines Pombon's Final Evolution as Fiery Cerberus

Did it pass the vibe check for fans?

As excitement builds for "Pokemon Winds and Waves," a talented fan artist has shared a jaw-dropping concept of Pombon's fully-evolved form.

While official details about Gen 10's starters remain scarce, this imaginative artwork has captured the attention of Pokémon trainers worldwide. Thinking alone about the starters' final evolutions is already whimsical but seeing it in full art is another story.

The Puppy Pokemon Starter

Pombon, known as the Puppy Pokémon, is one of the three starters alongside Browt and Gecqua. Official sources from The Pokémon Company describe Pombon as friendly, innocent, and energetic.

This pure Fire-type Pokémon may possess the Blaze ability, which strengthens fiery attacks when its HP drops below 33%. Fans have also noticed a subtle mark on its front paw resembling the Japanese kanji for "fire," highlighting its elemental nature.

Fan-Made Evolution Goes Hard With Kebakarus

On the official Pokémon subreddit, artist BurgooKing revealed their evolution concept, "Kebakarus," the Wildfire Pokémon. Inspired by Cerberus, this fiery quadruped features two flaming heads on its mane, bright orange fur with gray and black accents, and an intense, playful personality.

The name derives from Kebakaran, the Indonesian word for "great fire," tying into the tropical Southeast Asian setting of Pokemon Winds and Waves.

Kebakarus combines Fire and Fairy types, a first in the series, offering unique battle advantages against Dragon, Fighting, Grass, and Bug Pokémon.

Suggested abilities include Blaze and Magic Guard, which prevent indirect damage from status effects or moves like Curse. However, it would remain vulnerable to Poison, Rock, and Water attacks, with Magic Guard mitigating some Poison damage.

How Fans Reacted to Pombon's Cerberus Evolution

According to GameRant, trainers praised BurgooKing's artistry, noting Kebakarus could seamlessly fit into Gen 10's lineup.

Some fans speculated a Fire/Dark typing could also work, while others appreciated the maned wolf inspiration. With official evolutions still unrevealed, more fan creations are expected to surprise the community for the next few weeks.
