A "Persona 3" mod developer called "MeovvCAT" recently shared screenshots on X that show new trademark registrations filed by Atlus' parent company, SEGA, in the European region. The screenshots show that SEGA's registration only trademarked the word "Persona" and nothing more, and this has recently sparked questions from fans and gamers worldwide.
Many are questioning why SEGA only trademarked the word "Persona," with ComicBook Gaming stating that it remains unclear why the Japanese gaming company only filed for a single word.
The report said that while this is common practice for companies that want to "re-up" their trademark for a specific IP, this could also potentially mean that SEGA and Atlus are preparing for massive new announcements linked to "Persona" that may be coming soon.
What to Expect From Atlus' 'Persona'?
ComicBook Gaming also reported that Atlus had already previously confirmed its work on "Persona 4's" remake, dubbed as "Persona 4 Revival," last year. The developer, MeovvCAT, said that SEGA previously filed a trademark for "PERSONA 4 REVIVAL" in Europe when it announced the game last year.
Reports and speculations claim that the next game under development from Atlus, aside from the remake project, is none other than "Persona 6." This game is long overdue from Atlus, considering that "Persona 5" was released 10 years ago already.
