"Halo: Campaign Evolved" pre-orders are now live for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC ahead of the game's Jul. 28, 2026 launch.
Microsoft and Halo Studios opened pre-orders shortly after revealing the official release date during the Xbox Games Showcase, confirming the remake will arrive simultaneously on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PS5.
This marks the first time a mainline "Halo" campaign release launches day-and-date on a PlayStation platform, expanding the franchise beyond its long-standing Xbox ecosystem.
The game is built in Unreal Engine 5 and focuses solely on the campaign experience, updating the 2001 "Halo: Combat Evolved" story with modern visuals, audio, and cooperative features, according to Xbox News.

According to the official Halo site, "Halo: Campaign Evolved" is described as a "faithful yet expanded remake" of the original campaign, preserving the core narrative set on the Halo ring while reworking every level with improved navigation and pacing.
Players once again follow Master Chief and Cortana as they attempt to stop the Covenant and uncover Halo's secrets, but the campaign now includes three new prequel missions starring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson.
Halo Studios also rebuilt cinematics, sound design, and voice acting from the ground up to align with current-generation standards.
Pre-orders are available through multiple digital storefronts, including the Xbox Games Store, PlayStation Store, and PC platforms such as Steam, with regional pricing determined by each outlet.

Feature-wise, "Halo: Campaign Evolved" supports split-screen cooperative play for two players on console and online co-op for up to four players across Xbox, PC, and PS5, with cross-play enabled.
