A leaker has shared a new claim about "Pokémon Winds and Waves," particularly about its release date. According to said claim, the release of the game will be delayed.
'Pokémon Winds and Waves' Is Coming Next Year
Upon revealing its next mainline Pokémon games back in February, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company said very little about "Pokémon Winds" and "Pokémon Waves."
Outside of providing a broad 2027 launch window, the only other thing that the trailer showed was its new region, new characters, and the starter trio lineup of Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua.

However, insider Riddler_Khu suggests that the game's release date may be pushed to the latter half of 2027. The insider did not provide any reason for the supposed delay.
Is There New Info Coming This Year?
On top of the late 2027 release news, the insider also shared something equally frustrating for fans. Riddler_Khu mentioned that Game Freak has no plans to share additional news on "Pokémon Winds and Waves" this year.
Should Khu's claim be accurate, ComicBook Gaming said that fans would have to wait until next year's Pokémon Presents showcase to hear about the game. This typically takes place every February 27 or the designated "Pokémon Day."
The report also said that this is something which Game Freak has done before, particularly with the similar timeline observed between the announcements of "Pokémon Legends: Z-A" and "Pokémon Scarlet & Violet."
Nevertheless, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company did not leave their fans empty-handed as they dropped "Pokémon Pokopia" and re-released "Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen" earlier this year.
