"The Legend of Zelda's" live-action movie adaptation recently got an official update from Nintendo, following the success the "The Super Mario Galaxy" in theaters.
Based on the latest announcement, Nintendo slightly moved up the movie's release date earlier than the previously expected following good news from the team that it has already finished its filming.

"The Legend of Zelda" live action movie's release date has been updated courtesy of Nintendo's series creator, Shigeru Miyamoto.
According to the latest announcement on Nintendo's official X account, Miyamoto said that the worldwide theatrical release date for the live-action "The Legend of Zelda" film has been moved up to April 30, 2027.
The release date was previously set for March 26, 2027, but was pushed back to May 7 due to production reasons.
Moving it up a week from May 7 to April 30 puts the film back closer to its original window, suggesting production has gone well.

According to GameRant, filming has officially wrapped, with the production having taken place in New Zealand. Miyamoto said that the team is working hard to deliver the film to everyone as soon as possible.
What to Expect From Nintendo's Live Adaptation?
The film stars Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda, but there have been no other announcements on other cast members.
The movie is directed by Wes Ball, known for the "Maze Runner" series and "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes."
Ball has previously stated his desire to make the film feel like something real, drawing comparisons to Hayao Miyazaki's aesthetic sensibilities as an inspiration for the look and tone of the production.
No official trailer has been released yet, but with filming wrapped up and with less than a year to go, one is expected to surface in the coming months.
