Murdered: Soul Suspect 101 Trailer Shows Everything You Need To Solve Your Own Murder

Square Enix and Airtight Games have just released a comprehensive new trailer for Murdered: Soul Suspect, their exciting new action/horror IP. In the game you'll play a man who's trying to solve his own murder- and this video will let you know all the ways you can go about that.

PS4 To Get Among the Sleep Kickstarter 'Toddler Horror' Title With Project Morpheus VR Support

Main character Ronan may have been shot dead (you can still see the bullet holes in his ghostly form) but he's still able to manipulate the physical world. It wouldn't be much of a game if you just sat there yelling at people and not being heard, after all, so you can play poltergeist and creep people out by thowing things around. You aren't there for scares, however, solving your murder is serious business, especially since your murderer is still on the loose and racking up quite the body count.

Fortunately you can get into crime scenes and other otherwise-inaccessibly locations by merely passing through walls, although there are objects in the spirit world that prevent your progress- the level design would have been insane if this weren't the case. Later on in the game you'll learn how to teleport to get to hard-to-reach areas or even posess and influence people and animals to use their skills and knowledge to help you on your quest.

Murdered: Soul Suspect Trailer Focuses On The Deadly Bell Killer

Of course, solving your murder isn't the only thing you'll do- you'll use your knew-found abilities to help other spirits move on. Some of those will help you as well, leading you closer to finding the so-called Bell Killer that ended your life. It definitely is an awesome take on a detective story- one can only hope that the investigations are as in-depth as they appear in this video and that the story holds up to its lofty goals.

Murdered: Soul Suspect will release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on June 3, 2014. Check out the trailer below!
