'Quantum Break' Release Date Announced: Hitting Next Year, 'Max Payne' Developer Will Offer 'Entertainment Experience Like No Other' [TRAILER]

Quantum Break To Hit Next Year- Here's The First Gameplay Footage

Remedy Entertainment, the folks behind Max Payne and Alan Wake, has sent over a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break. First revealed via a cryptic trailer at last year's E3, the game will be featured at this year's gamescom conference. They have released this little sneak peak of gameplay footage to show you what to expect.

Quantum Break Box Art Revealed

First of all, Sam Lake is the greatest. You might know the designer best as the face of Max Payne, their famous (grumpy) character who put Remedy Entertainment on the map. They are the guys who introduced bullet-time to the world of videogames, and few have done it as well. Lake's last title Alan Wake was a bit of a disappointment but whatever your thoughts on it, it was certainly unique, a strange mix of story and horror, and they look to continue changing things up with Quantum Break.

Lake gets in this trailer personally to deliver all the news. The most unique thing about this game is that a television series is in production and will premiere along the show. According to Rememdy how you play the game will impact your version of the show, and vice versa. That's right- the live-action tv show will be personalized for you, depending on your actions. How this will work exactly hasn't been revealed just yet but it's an interesting concept for sure.

Quantum Break Game, TV Show Built As One Experience

As for the story- "The game follows Quantum Break's hero, Jack Joyce, as he desperately struggles to prevent the end of time, while the show revolves around the conspiracies and intrigue within the villainous corporation called Monarch Solutions, Jack's main enemy. Together, they form an intertwining narrative where the actions you take directly impact how the story across both the game and the show unfolds."

We will have to wait until gamescom in August to see and hear more on Quantum Break. We'll be sure to keep you updated!
