The bundle includes a Nintendo 2DS White + Red, and of course a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 pre-installed on a 4GB memory card. The New Super Mario Bros. 2 Special Edition game also comes complete with the all Coin Rush mode add-on content released for the game since its launch in August 2012.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 is coin crazy. You have no idea. According to the official tally on the website, over 1 trillion coins have been collected in less than two years. A trillion! In addition to the Coin Rush mode, which tasks players with collecting as many coins in a set amount of time as possible, the game also features many coin-related powerups, such as the Gold Flower, which gives Mario and company the Midas touch on practically everything.

Falling Skies Video Game Coming Soon

Released in 2013, the Nintendo 2DS is a great option for gamers who don't want the eye strain of 3D technology. The system features all of the same titles and graphics as its 3DS cousin and allows for co-op play of many titles, including New Super Mario Bros. 2, which has many secrets and rewards that only two players can unlock.

The Coin Rush add-ons bring the total number of levels in New Super Mario Bros. 2 to over 100. You'll be able to score a trillion coins yourself with that amount! Okay, not really, but that's a whole lot of Mario coming your way.

Watch the 3DS trailer for the game below and be sure to check out your local retailers when you should be barbecuing this July 4 for the 2DS bundle!
