'Assassin's Creed Unity' E3 2014 Trailer Introduces Co-Op Mode, Invite Friends To Kill The 1% During The French Revolution

'Assassin's Creed Unity' E3 2014 Trailer Introduces Co-Op Mode

It's a great E3 for co-op multiplayer games. Earlier today, Microsoft unveiled some of the first gameplay footage for the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity, the latest title in the franchise. This time, players find themselves in France on the cusp of the French Revolution and more importantly, this time you can bring friends.

Where previous Creeds introduced multiplayer to great results, Unity hopes to make it a little more co-operative. Now, you can team up with up to three other assassin's and accomplish your mission as a team.

The trailer highlights all of the mainstays of the AC games: shuffling through crowds, quick and painful looking killing, high-wire antics, and righteous rage against those who seek to oppress the less fortunate. Each assassin is working on his or her own, nimbly scaling the walls of a palace at separate points before converging in the ballroom for a final showdown. The swordplay itself seems to keep improving with every entry, one hopes that Unity can keep up the trend.

Fable Legends Teases Multiplayer Co-Op

Assassin's Creed: Unity is the first title of the franchise to be developed exclusively on next gen consoles. It's optimized for the 7th generation. Though Microsoft had the honor of showing off the trailer, the game will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, as well as the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 28 of this year. Just in time for you to finish up your latest Assassin's costume for Halloween!

The game is being developed by Ubisoft along with 9 other studios. It's a big game, sprawling game made by big, sprawling companies and the results, thus far, are pretty awesome. So find three friends (which can't be that hard), and via la revolucion this October.
