The fact that Grand Theft Auto V is not yet out on PC has not stopped intrepid modders from coming up with some amazing additions to the game, including this first person perspective mod.

Modder XBLToothPik created a first person mod for the Xbox 360 version of GTA V, an impressive feat on the console (and imagine what PC users will be able to do). It's pretty amazing, as you can see in the videos below, and looks almost like it was meant to be played this way.

I imagine some aspects of the game could prove difficult to play (since it was designed to be third person), even if just from a camera perspective when trying to complete missions. That said, it looks pretty playable from the videos posted, and gives a whole new outlook on the long-running series.

I wouldn't have thought it would translate so well, but shooting and even driving look easy in first person. Of course, most won't be able to get the mod on Xbox 360, but it should come quickly once the PC version releases. Modding is generally much easier and more accessible on PC than consoles, so don't expect a first person add-on to take too long.

In the first video below before he switches on the first person mode, you can catch a peek of other options in the mod menu that I'd love to see in action. These include gravity and rocket guns, "throw cars", and the "dead eye" slow-motion mode from Red Dead Redemption. Perhaps we'll get videos of those soon, but for now, enjoy the first person adventures.
