The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details will keep coming from Nintendo ahead of the staggered release of both versions, even after all the excitement from E3.

Mii Fighter Suit Costume Revealed In Recent Super Smash Bros Update

The title will be out for 3DS on October 3, as Nintendo announced at the gaming conference, and this holiday season on Wii U. A specific release date for the console version will likely be forthcoming as winter approaches, but Nintendo has plenty of time to make that announcement.

Several new characters and other details were revealed at E3 as expected, including the unveiling of Lady Palutena, Pac-man, Mr. Game & Watch, and the Mii Fighters. Even after these major announcements, though, series director Masahiro Sakurai will continue to give us comparatively smaller details through the official site in the form of a daily picture update.

Today's post focuses on yet another character's aesthetics, though it's not a full alternate costume this time around. Sakurai has chosen to show off the finely crafted, additional versions of Mega Man, which appear when using his Final Smash.

You can see the other versions in the image above, and he's also given us another related picture, below. His accompany description led into another post in the comments, in which he showed off a trophy of the character.

"Pic of the day. Mega Man.EXE and Mega Man Volnutt!! They only appear for a split second, but the modeling is so detailed. And if that's the case...!"

"...How can we not use it for trophy creation?! Today's update is a rare mix of Wii U and 3DS images in the same post."

Keep checking back for more Super Smash Bros. news each day, where we'll hopefully see new character reveals or a Wii U release date.
