Farming Simulator 15 Reveal Trailer Shows Completely Revamped Game- New Graphics, Physics, 16-Player Co-Op Multiplayer
Who would have ever known that Farming Simulator would be as big of a hit as it was? But Giants Software's ridiculous concept proved to be a hit, selling millions of copies across multiple platforms. They even came to E3 this year with a full tractor in tow.
Farming Simulator 15 will play much the same as its predecessor, in that it allows you to grow and sell crops, rear livestock, and manage your own farm, just like in real life but with more clicking and less back-breaking work. Now the game will offer a brand new open-world Nordic setting, as well. The game engine has been completely revamped with PBR (physical-based rendering) that's guaranteeing us photo-realistic vehicles. It certainly looks pretty from the reveal trailer below.
Licensed vehicles from Case IH, Deutz-Fahr and Lamborghini (yes, the famous yellow sports car manufacturer also creates agricultural machinery) are now being joined by brands like New Holland and Ponsse- if that means anything to you, you are much more of a farmer than I ever will be (that's not saying much.) The game will have a whole list of new vehicles and machines that let you endulge in some logging, with harvesters, chain saws, chipper and trailers to help you make that forest farmable.
"More prettier farming" is the gist of it, along with an online mode that lets 16 players join together online to manage a farm together. You could also do it on a local network, if you're up for one of the more ridiculous LAN parties around. The community will also be able to create and share various mods online using the in-game customization tool that will let you change up the vehicles, equipment and environments at your will.
Farming Simulator 15 will be hitting PC in October and consoles early next year. Go git yer almanac.
