Tekken 7 Release Date News: Be The First To Play At Select Japanese Arcades

Bandai Will Let Tekken 7 Be Tested At Arcades

The video arcade, alive and well in some parts of the world! More specifically, our friends in Japan still have a healthy arcade culture going on, with a lot of highly anticipated games out in those establishments before they ever reach our puny little machines here. Now, Tekken 7 will be among those games you'll be anxiously awaiting whilst others are playing them in a veritable Valhalla of games. But wait... maybe you're eligible too?

Pokken Tournament Not Tekken Boss' Original Plan For Series

What must one do to get in on this early arcade testing for the seventh installment of the main Tekken series? Well, according to the official website (with a handy translation assist from CVG.com) you'd be better off living in Japan or have a lot of frequent flyer miles saved up as the first ever Tekken 7 testing will be going on at the Nipponbashi store in Osaka or at Bandai Namco's own Sugamo store in Tokyo.

Players' first look at the final chapter of the Mishima family saga will be going down at those locations from October 3 to October 5, so if you plan on traveling from afar, your window is fairly small. May the dark genes of Devil Jin be with you, weary traveler! If you manage, you'll get Tekken 7 stickers and unique Banapassport cards, which are used to manage information, points, and payments of various Bandai Namco sites using a single ID.
