NYCC News: Television Panel Schedule From Marvel, DC, Warners Show Off SHIELD, Constantine, Person Of Interest And More

Why Watch TV At Home When You Can Watch It At The NYCC? Marvel, DC, Warner Bring Triple AAA Titles To New York City

The New York Comic Con, the biggest east coast convention of its kind, is nigh upon us! The schedule of events has slowly been trickling out over the past few weeks, highlighting some of the bigger, sought after events that will be taking place. Next up: television.

Eastern Championships Of Cosplay Happening At NYCC

Several big shows will be coming to the Jacob Javits Center on from October 9 to 12. Obviously, Marvel and DC will be present to once again wage war as if they were angry, indifferent gods and the West Side of Manhattan were not more than anthill to them both. Marvel has announced its lineup, which includes a first look at the upcoming Daredevil show for Netflix, as well as episodes of S.H.I.E.L.D and the animated Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

DC, not to be undone, will be premiering the first episode of Constantine at the annual Preview Night screening hosted by Warner Bros. The show is an adaptation of the brilliant Vertigo comic Hellblazer and had previously been adapted into the underappreciated gem Constantine film starring Keanu Reeves. On Saturday, October 100 there will be Q&A with series stars Matt Ryan, Angelica Celaya and executive producer David S. Goyer.

The Shadow Of Mordor Live Action Film Might Be Better Than The Hobbit 2

On Sunday, October 12, there will be a special Q&A presentation for Gotham, the upcoming Episode I of the Batman universe premiering on FOX. All I know is that it is not Arrow.

Also taking place at the main stage, Walt Disney and Marvel will be on hand Thursday night to show off the upcoming adaptation of Big Hero 6, which has one of the most charming teaser trailers of any film this year. The directors and special guests will be on hand. Additionally, director Brad Bird (The Incredibles) will be present to show off Tomorrowland, his latest effort.

Two of the best shows on television you aren't watching, Person Of Interest and Elementary, will be back in attendance at the con. POI is as perfect a look at the contemporary state of surveillance as any, and Elementary is far more consistent than its more praised, shorter cousin Sherlock. Don't feel bad if you don't watch, they're both on CBS and generally out of our demographic.

Person Of Interest will be on hand for a fourth year on Sunday, October 12 with a Q&A featuring the stars of the show. They'll be bringing an exclusive look at the fall out from last season's finale, when the Samaritan machine became fully operational.

The Elementary panel will happen on Friday, October 10 and feature an exclusive screening of the season three premiere followed by a Panel discussion with Cast members Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu and Ophelia Lovibond with Executive Producer Robert Doherty.

One last thing: you can check out a first look at the upcoming season of The Legend Of Korra on Thursday. The creators will be on hand to show you an exclusive screening of a never-before-seen episode from Korra's final season.

Those are the big ones to keep your eyes, television fans. We'll let you know some of the smaller, more intimate events that are worth checking out as the days press on.
