Lords Of The Fallen Details: Console Version Will Only Run 1080p On PS4, Lower 900p Resolution On Xbox One

Lords Of The Fallen Will Only Hit 1080p On PS4, Not Xbox One

The console version of the upcoming hack-and-slash title Lords of the Fallen will only run at 1080p on the PlayStation 4, not on the Xbox One, creative director Tomasz Gop told VideoGamer.com.

Lords Of The Fallen Is Just One Of Many Square Enix Games Playable At EGX

According to Gop, Lords of the Fallen runs around 900p on the Xbox One. The difference in maximum resolution, he says, is the only difference between the two console versions, however.

Back in April, Gop had told IGN that getting the game to run at 1080p resolution was proving easier on the PS4 than it was on the Xbox One. Now that the game is one month from release, it seems that this challenge hadn't been solved in the several months since. Gop also told IGN that, though Lords of the Fallen wouldn't run at anything less than 30 frames per second, they weren't necessarily shooting for the 60 fps framerate that more and more modern games like to brag about.

Lords Of The Fallen World Trailer Shows Off The Game's Stunning Levels And Enemies

In Lords of the Fallen, the player takes on the mantle of Harkyn, a powerful warrior with a checkered past. He's released from prison with the task of stopping a divine invasion of the mortal plane. In the action RPG-style of gameplay, players will upgrade their character's attributes while they're treading the rocky path toward redemption. Players can also form beneficial relationships with other characters in the game. Friends are a good thing to have when you're up against a demonic army.

Lords of the Fallen will drop for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC systems on October 28.
