B Dasher DLC Races Onto Mario Kart 8; Popular DS Car Will Come In New Content Pack Due Out In November [VIDEO]

Nintendo Adds Just A Dash Of 2DS Content: B Dasher DLC Coming To Mario Kart 8 In November

Mario Kart 8 is getting its first big crop of Nintendo related DLC in November, including some Zelda and Animal Crossing players and vehicles. Additionally, Nintendo is going back to the classics and giving us a little...Dash.

Hyrule Warriors Is Out Now! New Trailer! New DLC Info; Link Gets A Pony!

Sadly, they will not be reintroducing the two-driver mechanic from Mario Kart Double Dash, which is hands down the best Mario Kart game to date, but rather giving us the popular and somewhat stylish B Dasher from the Mario Kart DS game.

How popular is the car? It was on the damn game box, that's how popular. It's sleek, it's fast, it handles pretty well. All around it is a welcome addition to Mario Kart 8, which is already extremely polished. You can watch the Japanese announcement trailer for the B Dasher below.

New Pokemon Launches In Europe With Special Red And Blue 2DS Systems

The new DLC makes me hopeful that they will continue rolling out updated versions of classic vehicles, maps, etc. Mostly because I desperately want to play Baby Park, also from Double Dash, with the new craziness of Mario Kart 8. It is as close to total chaos as one can get in any game on any system.

Nintendo has announced two DLC packs, one due out in November and the other in May 2015. Each pack will give players access to four new vehicles, at least three new characters and a whopping eight new courses (Baby Park!). I am glad to see Nintendo getting into the DLC game.

Watch the B Dasher announcement video below, and be sure to pick up Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U.
