Assassin's Creed Unity Customization Details: Game Has Thousands Of Weapon Options, Four Classes Of Gear, Skill Upgrades Revealed

Choose Your Style: Details About Gear, Skills And Weapons In Assassin's Creed Customization System

A tool on the official Assassin's Creed website lets users learn even more about Unity's much advertised customization system, including details about weapons, gear, and skill upgrades.

Assassin Creed Rogue Is Probably Coming To PC, According To Two New Leaks

The walkthrough of the game's customization mechanic starts by reiterating the four "classes" of Assassin that players will be able to create. The four areas of specialization – Health, Melee, Navigation and Stealth – correspond to different skills and gear that the player can pick up throughout the game. Skill upgrades are earned by gaining experience and leveling, while gear can be equipped to one of five slots each Assassin has: hood, coat, belt, bracers and britches.

The Health class has access to skill upgrades like Thick Skin that increase the amount of damage your Assassin can take. The Health-focused Assassin will do well to pick up clothing items in the Medieval Gear category, which all serve to increase the wearer's health, reduce situational damage like fall damage and increase the amount of healing supplies he can carry.

Unity's Brotherhood Missions Can Be Completed Solo

Melee Assassins will pick up skills that unlock access to slick new combat moves for weapons like the sword and Hidden Blade. The Prowler Gear makes sure melee-minded Assassins have a little bit more health to work with as well as giving them more carry room for offensive items and more capacity to deal damage.

Skills in the Navigation tree include access to accurate ranged weapons and clever escape tricks like poison bombs for dire situations. Their Military Gear items strengthen the wearer's Eagle Vision abilities and provide an increased ability to run away if the tide of battle ever turns against the player. Finally, Stealth Assassins will have access to skills like better lockpicking and blending. Their Sans-Culottes Gear lessens enemies' ability to detect them by decreasing detection radii and the amount of noise the Assassin makes in a given situation.

The fun tool also notes that Unity includes more than 100 weapons, each of which can be customized with 20 color options, giving players literally thousands of options for how they want to arm Arno.

Assassin's Creed Unity will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC systems on November 11.
