Be The Zombie In The Latest Dying Light Trailer: Preorder Bonus Allows You To Invade Other Players' Games As Unstoppable Undead Beast [VIDEO]

Become A Zombie With Dying Light's Preorder Bonus Pack

The upcoming zombie survival actioner Dying Light looks pretty great. The parkour-esque open world allows for endless climbing, running, gunning and chances are, quite a bit amount of dying. Open World War Z, we can call it.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Pricing Details And Dates Announced

Dying Light features four-player on-line co-op, so you can join up with three of your friends to explore during the day and survive the  night. But, if you're feeling particularly adventurous (or mischievous) you can annoy your pals online, the same way you do in the real world: squeaking out bizarre, sub-human noises and devouring all living flesh, wherever and whenever you can find it.

One of the fun concepts, lifted lovingly from games like Left 4 Dead and Dark Souls, is the ability to play as the Night Hunter. A super zombie, the Night Hunter is harder, better, faster and yes, stronger than your normal zombie. Online players will be in for a rude awakening, as in much like Dark Souls, other people can invade your game and start messing you up.

Alien: Isolation Stomp Trailer Gives You More To Fear Than Just The Xenomorph

"The game is absolutely huge as it is, but to provide the ultimate zombie survival experience, we added an extra element of unpredictability to our nighttime gameplay" - says Dying Light's Producer Tymon Smektala. "Online players can face the threat of a possible invasion of their game by the Night Hunter, an extremely powerful, human-controlled zombie mutation. These invasions are an inherent part of Dying Light, available on all platforms for all online players from day one."

So anyone who plays the game on-liine runs the risk of being attacked by a Night Hunter. However, those who pre-order the game will gain access to the Be The Zombie DLC which lets you - wait for it - be the zombie. You can control the Night Hunter, and needless to say, it looks a hell of a lot of fun.

You can watch the new trailer below. Dying Light hits Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC here in America on January 27, 2015. You can pre-order the Steam version here, or from the official site here.
