Blizzard Gives EXP, Treasure Buffs To Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition Console Players To Celebrate 2.1.0 Patch

Buff Your EXP Or Treasure Gains In Diablo III This Week

Console players who own Diablo III – Ultimate Evil Edition will be granted a new buff to either their EXP or treasure gain this week as Blizzard celebrates the recent 2.1.0 patch.

Diablo 3 Patch 2.1.0 Released For PS4, Xbox One

According to a post on the Diablo III forum (thanks, Eurogamer) the bonuses begin for console players starting today and will run through next Friday. Last-gen console gamers who are playing on a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 will be treated to a full week of double EXP. More accurately, the buff is a 100 percent increase to EXP that stacks with other EXP-increasing mechanics.

For players who have upgraded and are playing on a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, the game will now spawn double Treasure Goblins, giving players a healthy treasure yield for the next week.

Patch 2.1.0 for Diablo III – Ultimate Evil Edition first went live on next-gen consoles on Tuesday. The patch added a new randomized environment called the Cesspools. As the name suggests, it's not a pleasant place to be, but it contains loots and therefore must be explored. There's also a new treasure-heavy area called The Vault, which can only be accessed through portals that are occasionally dropped by Treasure Goblins.

Legendary Gems were introduced into the game, which can provide powerful effects for Rings and Amulets. These Legendary Gems can be found in The Vault or by completing the newly introduced Greater Rifts. Finally, the patch introduced that an item called Ramaladni's Gift, which can add a socket to a weapon that is without one.
