Microsoft and Insomniac Games today announced a slew of new content coming to Sunset Overdrive.

A new Weapons Pack highlights the announcement, a trailer for which can be seen below. This pack adds four new weapons for $4.99, and comes free for those who purchased the season pass.
The weapons are the Plague Bomb (poisons enemies, who will get sick, explode, and spread disease), the Rager (causes enemies to attack one another), Shield Buddy (protects you and friends while also dropping bombs) and the Multi-Lock Rocket Launcher. The last is the most self-explanatory, and can fire homing rockets at up to eight locked-on targets.

The next new feature is the introduction of player voting. Through Sunset TV, players will be able to vote on what content is added to the game next, including cosmetics and other items. A new vote will be available every week. Some temporary bonuses have been added to the game, as well: you will collect more Overcharge than usual and have increased odds of getting the ProPain Launcher drop through Chaos Squad until December 1.
Finally, Sunset Overdrive's soundtrack is available today through iTunes, Spotify, and other distribution platforms. You can watch a behind the scenes video about the game's music here.
