Take On Lego Samurai In The Next Lego Ninjago Game, Coming To 3DS And Vita In Spring 2015

What do you do when evil Lego samurai threaten the peace? Call in the Lego ninjas, of course. Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin is the next entry in the Lego Ninjago series of games, and it's set to hit the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita in Spring 2015.

Benedict Cumberbatch Is Officially The MCU's New Doctor Strange

Shadow of Ronin is being developed by TT Fusion, a studio under the umbrella of TT Games. Along with its another of its subsidiaries, Traveller's Tales, TT Games has been expertly helping the Lego brand expand its presence in the video game industry for almost ten years. TT Fusion has so far been involved primarily with developing handheld versions of the console Lego games from Traveller's Tales, but TT Fusion looks to have control of the reins for this game.

Shadow of Ronin will follow up on this year's Ninjago handheld release, Lego Ninjago: Nindroids. The narrative of the game focuses on a new enemy, the titular Ronin, who commands an army of samurai. Using a weapon known as the Obsidian Glaive, Ronin steals the memories of the Lego Ninjas, causing them to forget how to use their powers. It's up to the player, then, to help the Ninjas recover their weapons and memories in order to put a stop to Ronin.

Old NES Classics Hit The Nintendo 3DS In A New Bundle

The game will features some elements from the TV show Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu, so fans of the show should feel right at home with this handheld title. Locations from the show like the Toxic Bogs and Ice Temple will be recreated in the game, as will characters like Grand Sensei Dareth and Sensei Wu.

Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin is set to hit 3DS and Vita systems in spring 2015.
