Focus Interactive have released a teaser trailer for the next iteration of its city building franchise, Cities XL.

Cities XXL will launch in 2015, and promises a "bigger, better" city-builder running on a new, much-improved engine. Cities XXL offers classic and extended content, over 1,000 buildings, and more than 70 maps across a variety of terrain types. You can see the new footage in action below, and it's looking pretty great.

Cities XXL features four classes of citizens spanning four densities of housing, allows you to choose your road type based on region of the world, and includes resources from oil to farmland. Varying road-sizes, including curved roads, bridges, and tunnels are unlocked from the get go, allowing you to plan your city's layout early on.

Smaller management details such as noise and air pollution can be tracked as well, and you can plan citizen's work routes to maximize efficiency. The game also boasts more green options for the environmentally conscious, dynamic time of day, and multiple skyboxes from which to choose.

Steam Workshop integration will allow you to mod and share the game easily, a nice boost to any management game. Free tools are available to create content, which you can both share and download directly through Steam.
