Orange Is The New Black Season 3 Spoilers: The Return To Prison Gets More Violent

Violence Comes To The Ladies Of Orange Is The New Black

Orange is the New Black has a surprising lack of violence for being a prison drama. With the exception of one or two spats between the inmates, most conflicts are solved through other means. This might change in the coming season.

Orange Is The New Black Has A New Face To Love In Coming Season

Natasha Lyonne who plays Nicky Nichols on the popular show has hinted that there will be much more violence in the coming season, reported by International Business Times.

The ladies at Lichfield are no strangers to violence. In both season one and two, key characters saw very violent moments, most famously likely Piper's fight with Pennsatucky at the end of season one.

Still compared to other prison dramas, the violence has been far, far less. The ladies tend to resolve their disputes through trading and dealing.

There's no hint as to where this violence may be coming from but at the end of the season we were left with Big Boo and Nicky agreeing to keep their heroin stash a secret to deal later so that could be the root of things.

There's also a chance that however awful Pornstashe was, his release and the release of other key prison figures have signaled a change in the way things are done and the ladies will feel much more bold about resolving things with a little bit of the old ultra-violence.

We'll have to wait to see how things are shaping up in the new season. Netflix hasn't released an official date for the premiere but it will be coming out sometime in the summer of 2015.
