Titled World of Warcraft: Chronicle, the multi-part series will guide fans on a "journey through an age of myth and legend, a time long before the Horde and the Alliance came to be." The book will touch on subjects such as the very creation of the universe and the gods and monsters that used the cosmos as their own personal battlefield. One would imagine that Sargeras, the fallen Titan and the series' ultimate - but as of yet unseen - villain will be featured prominently in the tome.

"We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters" said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. "This new series digs deeply into all of that-we can't wait for players to read it."

Several tomes littered around Azeroth in World of Warcraft illuminate several details of the pre-Burning Legion times, such as the Vanir Titans, the game's "creator race": The Titans, colossal, metallic-skinned gods from the far reaches of the cosmos, explored the newborn universe and set to work on the worlds they encountered. They shaped the worlds by raising mighty mountains and dredging out vast seas. They breathed skies and raging atmospheres into being. It was all part of their unfathomable, far-sighted plan to create order out of chaos. They even empowered primitive races to tend to their works and maintain the integrity of their respective worlds. - from The Titans and the Shaping of the Universe (found at Scarlet Monastery)

The sheer amount of backstory found in Warcraft is enough to fill plenty of digital books. In fact, there is a whole series of novels called 'The War of the Ancients' that tells the tale of the formation and battle for the world. But there are so many stories untold, and many more to be created.

The first volume will feature twenty hand drawn pictures illustrating the myths and legends from WoW artist Pete Lee.

World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 is on sale November 4, 2015 in comic shops and November 17 in bookstores! Preorder your copy today!
