Watch This Graphics Comparing Majora's Mask On 3DS To The Original N64 Game

The game will clearly be more than a re-release, with visual upgrades apparent at even a casual glance. Fortunately, YouTube user MasterOfHyrule has given us more than that with a 4 and a half minute video comparing the graphics of Majora's Mask on 3DS to the original Nintendo 64 version. Screenshots never do 3DS games justice--gameplay footage provides a much better idea of how the game will look.

We posted a similar video way back in November, but there was less than a minute of footage and the comparison was not nearly as effective. The new video shows the opening sequence, and it's easy to tell the differences. The character models in particular boast the largest upgrade: the characters are much less blocky, animated less stiffly, and are a bit more detailed. The special effects are probably the next most noticeable--the lighting and other effects simply look much better.
