Do mine eyes doth deceive me? Why, the calendar reads Thursday. And Thursday can mean one thing and one thing only: it's time for the weekly Nintendo eShop and Virtual Console update!

Goat Simulator Gets A Massive City In New Update

Little Mac and his charming rogue's gallery is back in the updated version of the all-time classic, Punch Out! If you missed it on the Wii back in the day, now's your time to pick up Mac, Kaiser, Glass Joe and all the rest. Make sure you have your Nunchuck and Wiimote. $9.99 until January 29 as part of Nintendo's Throwback sale.

The big Virtual Console title for the Wii U and 3DS is the unfortunately titled S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team, and it is exactly what you imagine such a thing would be. The year: 2029. An alien force has invaded earth and it's up to SCAT to take care of business. "They've sent an armada to conquer us. We've sent two warriors from S.C.A.T. It should be a fair fight." Originally made for the NES in Europe and Asia, brace yourselves, North America. $4.99 for both systems.

One Piece Online Open Beta Goes Live Today

Just in time for Obama's State of the Union is Citizens of Earth, the Wii U and 3DS game that puts you in the shoes of the second most powerful person on Earth the day after an alien invasion. Use your winning smile to charm people into doing your dirty work for you! $11.99 for each system.

The ultimate 80s mixtape, Retro City Rampage: DX is now on sale for $6.99 until next Thursday.

This week's Throwback sale, which includes Punch Out!, will begin at 12 p.m. EST. We will update this page accordingly when the remaining titles are revealed.

Also out this week is...

Undead Nightmare Storm - three words you never, ever want to see put next to each other. A local play enabled title, the game will test your zombie killing skills to the breaking point with a veritable arsenal of weapons. $4.99 on the 3DS.

Midnight - the Wii U exclusive resembles such monochromatic titles like Limbo and Badland. Guide a square shaped fairy named Midnight through 28 levels of increasingly difficult obstacles. $1.99.

Breezleblox - guide a series of blocks through over 150 levels in this headscratching puzzle title for the Wii U. If you like Monument Valley, definitely check it out. $9.99.

That's us for this week. See you next Thursday!
