The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: New Location Hints At Show’s Direction
The recent synopsis informed us that the group was going to be taking an unexpected detour in The Walking Dead for the second half of the season. New spoilers give us a hint as to what is to come.
One thing that is clear from the trailer, there will be more zombies and it looks like in the coming season, these walkers are a clear threat. This is important because it looks like an element from the comic series will be worked in for the coming half season.
Wetpaint speculates that Rick and the crew will meet up with Morgan Jones, something that we've been looking forward to for a while now. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows, a mega herd of zombies will attack them and they will have to take cover.
The place the may end up in is called Shirewilt Estates. This may be a play on a location in the comic, Wiltshire Estates, where the group laid low after being attacked by a mega herd of zombies. The difference is that this location appeared much earlier in the comics so many of the plotlines that took place in the location will not show up in the show.
Because the people that were involved in them are dead.
Still, this could be where Aaron meets up with the group and takes them to the Alexandria Safe Zone.
It fits perfectly with the episode 9 synopsis. Mega herds of zombies are pretty unexpected. It makes sense that the group would seek refuge in a gated community rather than stay on the roads, hiding out until they pass. It would also be the perfect spot for a new comer to join the group.
Plus it will give Rick time to introduce Morgan around.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 8.
