New 'Puzzle & Dragons' Event Resurrects Legendary Anime 'Fist Of The North Star' For Modern Audiences
The latest limited Puzzle & Dragons collaboration event has players traversing through the dungeons alongside the characters from the legendary manga and anime series Fist of the North Star.
The original manga ran for five years back in the 80s for some nearly 250 chapters. It followed martial arts master Kenshiro as he traverses a post-apocalyptic wasteland defending the weak and helpless. It's super fun and gloriously, wondrously Japanese. The two season anime was perhaps the first introduction many of us in the west had to the over-the-top violence that anime could be.
The Puzzle & Dragons: Fist of the North Star event runs until February 22. The event gives "players the opportunity to traverse through a brand new dungeon with four difficulty levels and battle against classic villains from the popular manga series. In addition, players can also acquire other Fist of the North Star characters through the special 'Fist of the North Star' Egg Machine."
Play alongside nine of Fist of the North Star's characters, including Kenshiro, Toki (Kenshiro's mentor), Mamiya (one of the only women warriors in the entire show) and guide them through the dungeon to face down Raoh, the Ruler of the Century's End and Kenshiro's very angry, bitter older brother.
Please note, that Raoh only appears at the Master and Conquerer difficulty levels. Beating him, however, will grant you the chance to earn the rare Raoh ChibiDra.
