A closed beta for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The previous alpha was only made available for PC players, but an upcoming beta will be launching on all three platforms. Ubisoft's tactical shooter hasn't been in the limelight much since its E3 debut, but progress is definitely being made on the title.

You can sign up for the closed beta now on the official website, which only gives you a chance to get in. Alternatively, you can purchase a pre-order for a guaranteed spot in the beta once it launches, though we don't know when that will be. The game is due out at some point this year, so a beta shouldn't be too far away--especially if signups are now beginning. All you need to register is a valid uPlay account, and then the waiting begins.

The game looked good on its debut, with a sort of Counter-Strike style hostage-takers versus rescuers mechanic unfolding in a gameplay demo. The law enforcement players can decide how best to approach breaching a normal residential home with hostages inside for minimal loss of life before executing their plan, and the hostage-takers have a variety of tools and weapons at their disposal to stop them. You can watch this action in the video from E3 below.
